Which setup fits the job?

Product Location / capacity Check before buying Cleaning consideration
KD-121 Wall-mounted; 28 US qt Sound mounting surface and fit for included U-bolts/backer plates. Reach all surfaces; remove optional ring to clean underneath.
KD-136 Fixed stall corner Exact dimensions, required hardware, door swing and horse access. Leave access to the corner and attachment points.
KD-168 Floor-level pan Placement, stability and the horse’s feeding behavior. Lift, empty and clean between uses as needed.
KD-153 Wall/fence; 6 US qt Smaller portions and appropriate mounting for the pen or stall. Check residues around the rim and mount.

Feed-saver ring: what it adds

The KD-122 Feed Saver Ring fits the compatible KD-121 tub as a separate add-on. It helps keep feed within the tub, but the fit, the horse and the routine still matter. It does not turn the feeder into a no-spill guarantee.

Scoops measure volume, not a universal feed weight

Scoop Volume Use it thoughtfully
KD-166 1 US quart Smaller-volume scooping and feed-room handling.
KD-119 2 US quarts Larger-volume scooping.

If the ration is specified in pounds, weigh the feed. Different feeds pack differently in the same scoop. Weigh a normal level scoop of the feed you use, label the routine clearly and recheck when feed changes. Do not use an ordinary feed scoop as a substitute for a medication’s prescribed measuring device.

Plan the complete station

  1. Choose the horse’s access and the location.
  2. Measure clearance, mounting surface and space for cleaning.
  3. Verify what is included and what must be purchased separately.
  4. Check the installed feeder and its attachment points routinely.
  5. Keep a separate clean-water plan; feed-tub capacity is not a ration recommendation.
