What is verified about the scoop

The KD-166 is a 1-US-quart scoop sold for feed-room use. Its nominal volume tells you how much space it holds; it does not establish chemical compatibility or an approved load for every material.

Before putting a coating in it

1. Read the coating manufacturer’s container and cleanup requirements.
2. Confirm that the scoop material is suitable for that specific substance and conditions.
3. If compatibility is unknown, choose a purpose-made paint container.
4. Keep the work area and containers away from animals, feed and drinking water.

Assign it one job

A scoop used for paint, stain, resin or another chemical should stay out of animal feeding and human-food use. Label it clearly and store it with the project supplies. A quick rinse is not a reason to return it to the feed room.

Cleanup depends on the material

Follow the coating’s directions for cleanup and disposal. Do not assume a solvent cleaner is suitable for the plastic. Do not pour residues into water buckets, feeding areas or places animals can reach.
